BECOMING CATHOLIC (OCIA)

Thinking about becoming Catholic? We’d love to talk with you!

If you are not Catholic but are curious about the Catholic Church, or, if you were baptized Catholic but wish to complete the Sacraments of Eucharist and/or Confirmation, this opportunity is for you!

St. John Fisher invites you to participate in the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA), a series of informational sessions for those seeking entry into the Catholic Church. In OCIA, you and others will learn about the Catholic faith and how to apply Catholic teachings to your everyday lives. The culmination occurs at the Easter Vigil, where, for over two thousand years, people just like you have received the Sacraments of Initiation, marking the beginning (or renewal) of their journey of discipleship with Jesus, which lasts a lifetime.

ALL ARE WELCOME regardless of whether you are new to the faith, curious about Catholicism, or are already initiated but wish to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church. Come join us in the OCIA journey so that you may learn about the rich teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church - the Church started by Jesus Himself.

Classes will take place on Wednesdays from 6:30 - 8:30pm in the lower level hall of St. John Fisher Parish.
